Santa Cruz, Bolivia 1981

In most families there is always someone who practices the dark arts, of casting spells, of seeking gain by cursing a person so in their sickness sinister opportunities for their gain arise. My sister-in-law Mary, called upon my wife, Regina, and I to pray for her as she started finding odd things when she would clean her house. Folded in a stained paper would be some hair, a clipping of a fingernail, and other undesirable dirty items. When would these small, strange packages show up? It was concluded that the nephew of her husband was the guilty one as he would only visit on evenings once a month when the moon was full and then these odd things would appear. For almost a year Mary had been sick, and no doctor nor test rendered a conclusion to the source of her weak health. Mary concluded it was a spiritual attack and if she were to die, she noticed her husband’s family, knowing she was sick, had already expressed an interest in acquiring her home, business, and possessions.  On the next full moon, my wife Regina and I showed up to confront ‘el primo’ and we both got in his face and rebuked him and quoted scripture, “We know what evil you are doing, and we are praying that the evil you are cursing Mary with, will return to punish you in Jesus’ name!” ‘El primo’ stopped going to Mary’s house and she started feeling better. Regina and I then traveled for about a year and when we returned to Santa Cruz we visited Mary. We asked her, “What happened to ‘el primo’, did he stop coming? Do you feel better?” Her answer left us cold, ‘el primo’ had gotten sick and he died only a few months ago! He was a man in his 40s, so this was rare. The only conclusion we could deduct was his practice of spell casting returned to pay back to him what he had sewn for Mary. What a shocking proof that God protects, and answers prayers and that there is power in the name of Jesus to stop the curses of evil! Those that play with the devil’s fire are the ones who get burnt. Warn others, you reap what you sew!
