One of several wrecks. This one is from Rio de Janeiro 1977

One morning I was with some friends in their VW Brasilia in Rio, Brazil, and another car t-boned us at a high speed! We did a 360 spin around two times and were slammed up against the curb. The driver broke three of his ribs, as the car was caved in almost halfway! He got knocked on top of me onto the passenger side. I banged my knee really hard, but I did not need medical attention. It was a miracle of God’s protection! Some nice folks that saw the accident from their apartment invited me and my friends inside so we could calm down before getting a ride to the hospital. They gave us glasses of water with several spoons of sugar stirred in; that was something I had never had before, and they explained that it would calm us down. Alright then, thank you! Thank God for His continued protection as later, while still in Rio, I was on a bus that t-boned a car and I was in the front seat witnessing the crash seeing the blooded face of the one driving! I have witnessed many auto accidents in my lifetime and every time you or I are in a car, we must pray like our life depends on it, as it does! Even right now, my oldest son is in the hospital as a transportation bus hit him yesterday! Pray for Paul that his bruises and fractured bones heal quickly! Amen!
